Time Line and Check List for Recruitment
March -- Attend the Fort Bend Panhellenic Workshop to learn about sororities and Recruitment, or the second, smaller meeting in April
ASAP -- Register with Fort Bend Panhellenic your intention to participate
in Recruitment. Complete the form at the Workshop, or register online at www.fortbendpanhellenic.org
ASAP -- Check the Panhellenic Web site at your university to determine which
and how many sororities are on the campus
April -- Gather 3 photographs per packet; have extras for Letters and the
college Panhellenic
April -- Get your unofficial transcript from the high school or college,
make copies, sign
April -- Prepare your resume; make copies for all packets, plus extras for
Letters
Mid April (or sooner) -- Contact local women to write your References and
Letters of Support; deliver packets when you have those complete
Early May or sooner -- Update your information on the Fort Bend Panhellenic
Web site if anything has changed
May 1 -- Register for Orientation at your university
May 7 -- Encourage your friends who are uncertain that NOW is the time to
make a decision on participating in Recruitment
May 15 -- The last day any References should be written for UT Austin
July 1 -- The last day any References should be written for all others
July 1 or sooner -- Send a thank you note to any women who wrote References
or Letters of Support for you
July 1 or sooner -- Those attending Deferred Recruitment should complete
all checklist items before leaving for college
Summer -- Attend Orientation at your university; attend any sorority information
sessions during Orientation; register with your university Panhellenic if you
have not already done so
Summer -- Contact anyone listed on this site or in the list you receive if
you have questions or have received conflicting information
August through January -- Participate in Recruitment
August through January -- Share with us the results of your Recruitment experience
by email to: fortbendrush@hotmail.com
Spring of the next year-- Plan to return for the Workshop and encourage next years
class to participate in Recruitment
