(Rush) process for high school seniors and college women.

Fort Bend Panhellenic works as the hometown support team for young women participating in sorority recruitment at universities. The group is dedicated to helping area young women have the best possible Recruitment experience through such activities as sponsoring this Web site, publishing a Recruitment Information Workbook, and writing the references that are usually required for event invitations during Recruitment. Fort Bend Panhellenic also awards several scholarships each year to college-bound women that participate in Recruitment from the cities of Sugar Land, Missouri City, Richmond, Rosenberg, The Meadows, and Stafford, which are located in Fort Bend County. Sorority membership offers young women an opportunity for involvement with women who share your ideals and goals, not just during your college years, but also throughout your entire life.

History

Fort Bend County Panhellenic was formed in 1980 by several NPC Sorority alumnae who lived in the area and saw a need for a local Panhellenic. Originally called East Fort Bend County Panhellenic, it focused on college bound girls east of the Brazoz River. In 1995 the name was changed to Fort Bend County Panhellenic and began representing college bound girls from all of Fort Bend County. The original alumnae founders first had Panhellenic meetings and Rush Information teas in their homes, which evolved to meetings in Southern National Bank and the Sorority Recruitment Workshop at Christ United Methodist Church today.
